in the picture, on the blue side, the "dashed" lines that starts at 4000 RPM's proves that the "redline" of your engine can change with the temp of the engine.
Most of us have only seen this:

that shows the "redline" starting at 6750 RPM's.
Other BMW'S have this feature to show you the max rpm's you should hit with the given engine temp.
When looking closely at my tach, it always looked like the dashed redline was capable of moving, this picture proves it can:

IMO it would make sense for ALL of us e90 owners to have this feature working because there's no temp gauge to see when your engine is warm.
Now we are waiting for Speedy E90 to film his gauge moving.
