Just about all were modified above stock form, some very modified. The obvious difference with the two brands is the quality of materials. The GM products are blunt objects as the germen products are solid, well engineered vehicles.

A few things to consider here are price, the 1LE will likely be about $10k less. Power, the 1LE will likely be tangibly faster. Handling, might be a wash. It really comes down to what is more important to you. To me the Camaro is pretty bad ass, however it might be priced a little high. I know the price has not been released but expect to pay an MSRP of $42-43k. The M2 will likely simply not be fast enough to keep me interested and the fangs are just too overdone.

Honestly with the release for the ZL1 (also a 2017 model), the pricing might be more line with the M2 and will likely crush just about all of it's competition. For me the two GM offerings are good enough for me to stay American for my next purchase..

Flame suit on...
Umm... You're kidding about the ZL1 pricing, right? It's going to be at least 65-70k base.
