are you sure the intake is sitting properly in the intake box? I have some issues were the intake would pushed forward too much (adjust the elbow piece) Because if everything is lined up the box should sit flush and missing one screw will not kill you. Try taking the little nipple out and see how the intake sits and how the lid sits as well.
