Those wheels have been the biggest point of contention in the Audi TTRS forums. Almost deserves a thread of its own on how ugly the wheels are. There has been so much backlash against them (at least on forums, where a large amount of enthusiasts hang out, of course).
I'm not saying these large companies need to listen what a bunch of forum posters say, but after the F80/82 ZCP wheels, which many did not like, would it be so hard for designers to at least go to these car forums and just read what the consensus is? Do some due diligence and just check out what car lovers have to say? I get it, once a design is out, it is out. And there is the issue of not revealing too much to the general public. But some designs (not just wheels) are blatantly ugly, almost objectively ugly, yet they are still released without a blink of an eye.
