No M2 GC in development.
A3 ~ A250/CLA250 ~ 128i/228i GC
S3 ~ A35/CLA35 ~ M135i/M235i GC
RS3 ~ A45/CLA45 ~ Nothing
What's an A35, you ask? Google knows

Hopefully they fix the offset steering wheel. I had a 228i convertible loaner and the seat was noticeably offset. Same problem in the X2 I sat in at the car show last week. My M2 doesn't have the offset problem.
One thing I don't hear mentioned in the posts above is car length. My E46 fits in my garage perfectly as does my M2. The current 3-series doesn't fit so I don't have a BMW four-door sedan option. The X2 does fit but I'm not a SUV fan. For me, the magic length is 180 inches - nothing longer than that works for me. There aren't many interesting four-door sedans that will fit in my garage: Civic R-Type, Golf R and Audi RS3 is about it.

This is exactly my point on vehicle size as well
My E82 X1, E46, and 1M are all under your max length. My prior garage couldn't fit a much longer vehicle and even though I have moved to a larger home with a bigger garage I don't want to have to put a 5 series sized 3 in my garage.

My two 172.2" and 158.5" cars fit nicely in my two car garage (great when it snows heavily) with a little creative parking. Wouldn't be able to do that with a 3.
