This might have to do with the type of dealer you are buying through and what agreements they have with BMW.. Yeah I imagine German dealers don't have to same restrictions on alacart options. The U.S. ordering guide shows summer tires are required to add m-brakes to the order, so I don't know if dealers in the U.S. can make it happen...my dealer is trying for me, but I think it's a long shot.
