ok. Salvador won't do HO for $400 (coupe price). $450 is his GB price for a sedan $350 for coupe. He has over 20 years of tint experience and has been tinting with HO ever since it was introduced in the US 6 years ago. He knows the owner of Song's tint and said he does good work. He doubted that Han (Song's) would do HO on a sedan for $375 and said that was probably the coupe price.

He will do Madico for $200. The big advantage HO ceramic offers over conventional is better heat rejection. Lifetime warranty on both films against fading, bubbling, etc.. If you own a light colored car and just want the tinted look, conventional is probably the way to go. If your primary concern is heat rejection than you should get HO.

Ceramic is significantly more expensive because the film itself costs 4x more than conventional film. It is also a thicker film that's harder to work with. You need special tools and lots of experience to do it right (no ghosting, bubbling, particles under film). HO takes about 3 hours to do compared to the 1.5 hours for conventional. The back is single piece and he's able to do the dot matrix perfectly 95% of the time.

UPDATE: Called Han at Song's Tint and he quoted me $475 for HO. $440 for a 5 car GB. The $375 price is an obsolete price due to film cost increases over the past 4 years. Han sounds like an awesome person to deal with tho.
