Jumpman, some people do not like the yellow stock bulb color, so what they do is just swap the OEM H8 bulb with the GP Thunder H8 Bulbs. This was a preferred product brand in the E90 community, and the new 1-series headlights use the same design for the angel eyes. Pretty much, if you like the look, these are for you
Especially if $300+ for an existing Angel Eye LED kit is out of your budget.
As for the H3 bulb, the cornering light is not the turn signal lights. Newer BMWs, when you steer left or right (or even go reverse) your inner headlight illuminates, lighting up the front corner of your 1-series for better visibility of that spot when you turn.
