As I said in my post. Only messages and email that you get while the phone is connected to the car will come up, if you get a mail or a SMS while walking to the car it will not come up once the phone connects to the car.
I don't understand why, I have just accepted it that way.
I have still not been able to try if any unread SMS or mails from before the phone connected to the car will also come up if a new message is received after it has connected.
I plug my phone in the USB port for music streaming, but the hands free is BT. So I can't say if this will work connected to one or the other.
