I personally LOVE the cupholders in the Z4. I typically have a can of soda, cup of coffee (with a lid) or a can of Red Bull. The cupholders work PERFECTLY.

I really like how even during the summer with the top down I can have a can of soda in the cupholder and provided I have the AC on it keeps the beverage very cold. Same thing during the colder months....my cup of coffee stays fairly warm if the heat is on. I've never had any problems with these whatsoever. The only possible drawback I can see is when a cold beverage "sweats" and it can drip on the window controls on the side of the door....but I haven't had any issues with this yet.

I recently purchased the Imola red armrest from LeatherZ with the cupholder insert so I'll have yet another spot to keep a drink :woot
