I can't recall if there were significant changes to the coupe's suspension over the existing hatch (ie: that would necessitate different springs), I would expect springs for the 5 door and the hatch would be pretty much exactly what we're looking for.
That said, wasn't I hearing something about how BMW softened things up a bit for the coupe (and princess Americans who think they can feel a pea under 10 feet of down) over the hatch? I can't come up with a cite atm, but I recall several journalists griping about a harsh hatch ride remedied in the coupe.
To get to the point, I'm wondering if springs designed for the euro hatch wouldn't be excessively harsh on the coupe. Since "excessive" is relative, I guess I mean a more significant change in ride quality than expected.
Clearly, we don't know at this point, but any thoughts on that?
