^ Comment for Rear Hatch (RH), remote FOB to open & close has conflicting postings. Not to say that above ^ is wrong. Would be nice if a owner would clarify.
SA stated that the 2 piece RH (rather than a 1 piece) is because the overall high opening is too high. The RH height can be adjusted to 3 settings, low, med & full on other X vehicles. I think other mid sized SUV manufactures have a 1 piece RH. Assuming the RH can be opened by Comfort Access (via touching the outside RH) or remote FOB or via inside vehicle button, they will ALL only open the top portion of RH ( lower portion RH is only manually operated). So if one has something really heavy to load in the rear, a free pair of hands is needed to manually open the lower portion RH or one has to struggle to lift higher to clear the height of the closed lower RH.
