My advice is to have your wax/sealant and polish made by the same company/line for optimal bonding, otherwise you might need an IPA type wipe down after polish. Look for sealants/wax that contains polymer and with easy wipe down to save work. Also there are 2 types of compound/polish out there that you want to check on to see which fits you better (SMAT vs DAT).

But honestly like others said.. DIY with good results require alot of investments and time. I would definitely paid extra for a good detailer if you don't enjoy or not willing to put in the time and money into detailing. But there are more bad ones out there than good ones, and they often leave holograms/buffer trails that you won't even notice until later or IPA wiped own. Wax/polish oil usually would hide those damage until wax/sealant are worn down.
