Carl, Apple have videos on their website for everything. They have 'how to's' for everything. They have a forum for everything. For fuck sake use your keyboard skills and your single brain cell and get on that site and start learning to do shit for yourself. A small amount of looking and reading will sort this shit out.
- Connect to itunes via usb cable
- Leave to charge
- Hard reset using home and on/off buttons
- Restore using the button in the itunes screen
- Update to latest software
- Resync all your stuff which I believe you said before is one song!
- Job done
