Probably not.. its not very well known, but the arch school is decent and its a lot cheaper than all the other arch schools in NY (well.. out of the ones I was looking into). I was originally thinking Upper East side, or maybe midtown, but midtown is really expensive, and I can't find any good deals for Upper East side apt's unless its in the higher 100's like 130-150 which is super far from my school (Columbus Circle)

I had a lot of friends that went to NYIT for animation... art...etc and all of them lives in queens. Not so bad of commute (about 1hr)....
I commute from queens to midtown for work everyday...
and with 1600 you can get a nice 2-3 bedroom apt in queens.
