It does produce pretty even torque, once the turbos are spooled up. This, in combination with the fact that most dynos/dyno operators don't start the run at 1k rpms, but usually start it about 2-2.5k rpms, means that the turbos don't spool up right away, which means that max torque is not generated for about 300 rpms or so after the dyno operator gives it full throttle. So, 2.5k rpm start plus 300-500 rpms of spool time, means that max torque is not hitting until somewhere around 2.8-3k rpms. If the dyno operator floored it at idle, it would look different. Not sure I have even ever seen a dyno run that started at 1000 rpms, though.
