FYI - there have been no "chips" available for engine tuning since the 1990s...it's all done by engine software updates or "piggyback" tuners that alter the engine parameters. There is no way to remove/replace a "chip" on current vehicles - they're all permanently mounted to the circuit boards. Last car that I put an actual chip in was a 1993 Porsche 968; the advent of OBDII regulations pretty much killed off the whole replaceable E-PROM thing.
