When oil reaches steady state (needle lifts after 5-10 mins), which for me is about 100 deg C or just above 1st quarter mark (at least from what I can remember - haven't driven it for a few weeks). I have only seen it go up to 120 deg C or mid-point with sustained hard-ish driving (on post-break in demo car). I don't drive it hard until the oil reaches steady state.
I usually drive around 60mph, with the odd 2-3 sec WOT over several hours and mine stays around 100 deg C mark once warm.
Does that sound normal, or am I just driving it too gently?
