LOL you do realize that Merc stopped developing the W11 in the summer.
It took RB months to catch up and only when Merc turned the power down in the last race to ensure they didn’t have a DNF due to engine failure.
My guess is they turned it down to ensure BOT finished ahead of Max in the standings.
I’m sure if Toto was “worried” as you say, they would have kept working on the W11 for the rest of the season. Instead they decided to develop the ‘21 car.
