My guess is there is some adaptation, yes. There's another tune I've been using, too, that has done the same thing, but it seems that one is more variable. Sometimes I can run it at a higher setting (it's maxed setting, sometimes), without an error/limp, and other times I can't. I thought it had to do with ambient temps, but even at 60F, it would sometimes trigger limp.
