Good catch. I've spent so little time looking at these vehicles, I hadn't even realized that. Here is a 125i rear end showing the dual exhaust on that car.

Calling it a 1 Series would just confuse things I think. Also, that would close the door on bringing a 1 Series Sedan here, which they may want to preserve the ability to do in a future generation. After all, Mercedes is adding an A Class sedan to their next generation small car lineup, and it is reported to be heading to the US. So they will have both the CLA and the A sedan in our market.

Right, but as with the existing 4GC, outgoing 6GC, and upcoming 8GC, the "four (or five) door coupes" get an even number.
