That's all folks.

A 718S is $161,000 before options in Australia. Throw in PASM, PCCB and sport chrono, sports exhaust, a couple assistance packages, to get a car like the one in this test, and you're probably closer to $180,000. That is a lot of cash for a 4-cyl car, almost $80,000 more than I paid for my fully optioned M2, and all that gets you is a not very special Porsche. I can't argue with the handling, It's really great. Couldn't Porsche have just turbocharged a 2.2l flat six? With such small pistons they could have a high revving, low capacity turbo engine that would be efficient and sound great, as well as being a throwback to the 2.2l unit used in the 70s. I mean, just listen to it.
