I had my running in service completed last week, I wouldn't say I noticed anything different afterwards though.
However, I did make a backup of all the ECU settings before the running in service, which I intend to repeat and compare, but I'm currently doing a European road trip, so it will have to wait until I'm back home.
Also, some people have commented on the (fake) power dials showing different numbers before and after the service, but what I noticed was that the dials show different numbers depending upon whether the engine is cold or hot and did so from the outset.
