I have ppf on the front side (mirrors and forward) on my G05. Have a chip on each side on the doors, which occurred before I had a chance to apply a ceramic (or 3 actually) coating. Without jinxing it that seems to provide very good protection for the sides at least. Ceramic on the front may not do it...
