Hi All,
We have been debating for a year now about a regular meeting in Central New Jersey. Nothing has materialized so I will take the liberty to just go ahead and organize the initial meeting:
Next Thursday, September 4th, we will meet
at 6.00pm at Joe Canal's Discount Liquor Outlet (
http://bit.ly/VySPRQ), an obviously appropriate meeting point for car enthusiasts. Reason for this choice: There is a Starbucks right next door and grocery (Shoprite) and many other amenities if you need to run errands after work. Also: It's the only parking lot in the area with shops and restaurants that isn't completely packed. So when and where?

But this is not just a coffee and meet. We will gather at 6.00 and at 6.30pm sharp, we will leave for 45 minute road trip depending on the day. For the first couple of meets, I will sign responsible for the route. The route debriefing will be held just before leaving the parking lot at 6pm. It will not be published online (for obvious reasons ;-). The area has plenty of wonderful back roads that allow for avoiding rush hour traffic and having some fun. The drive will end at the same parking lot so that afterwards whoever wants to stick around can meet for dinner or if anybody wasn't able to meet us before the drive can join in at 7.30pm for some more car talk and fun.
If you are in for this week, feel free to reply. There is no restriction on number of participants, the meeting will happen regardless of response rate. I will be there and I know at least two other people from the area that will be there. No restrictions as to care make and model. We will have fun!
