Errrr... the factory
does close for holidays around that time. You might want to check with BMW. I think its late July or August that they close. Last year I did a tour around that time. They just skipped final assembly and showed us the engine assembly instead.
I think that was even a better tour, then the regular one!
Btw... the Welt is still open. Its just some of the display areas are all boxed off, for remodeling. But BMW has parked a bunch of cars outside the Welt instead and added some M cars in front of the Cafe on the ground floor. Plus the Museum has some cool new exhibits that I will be covering in some future threads. (sorry I don't want to spoil the surprises!).
