Your talking about two completly different things.... One plays music and the other is a navigational aid...!
When you go with iDrive you get a monitor that control all your radio function too. It's primary use is for showing you the navigational maps, but the DVD is needed to load those maps from. It's
not a DVD player that shows movies....!
