If you want more straight line grip, you should go with a taller tire. Not a wider one. Although a sticky, tall, and as wide as you can tire is probably the best combo.

I had 275/35/18 Nitto NT05's in the back of my FBO+E85 135I 6 speed. 1st gear hookup was amazing! Wish I would have gotten a taller profile, but I would have rubbed.

Planning on putting a 275/40/18 NT05 on the back of the M3 as soon as I get it.
