How about getting the car washed and detailed by a professional once or twice a month? I ask this because other military who were stationed there say that there is sometimes "acid rain" (I call B.S.) and others say there is a lot of salt in the air. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Here's a precaution... If you have 20" rims, drive CAREFULLY. Oahu's road's are one of the worst in the world. We have potholes that will devour small dogs.
