I've always like a GTI in any form - even owned an 84 GTI made in PA that was assembled so shoddily that they blamed me for a broken manual transmission and later they had to install a new steering column because it was assembled incorrectly. Glad it was a lightweight, no-frills car.
Fun as heck.
But the remainder of the line ... and the parts that Audi pulled from it ... needed more sophistication.
Call me skeptical of this one -- one of their better exteriors though.
But I never thought they treated customers well after 2 VWs and 3 Audis. Never again. Don't trust VW.
