Running the MSRP numbers, I configured a 435i M Sport the same way an M235i with standard options would be configured. By my calculations from the US M235i pricing guide and the 435i build-your-own website, I get $51K for the 435i and $44K for the M235i.

Assuming residual of 58% quoted earlier, that gives a difference of $4060. Divide by 36 to get a rough approximation of $112/month.

Using the parameters listed before: 58% and .00125MF, $44K gets you to $664. This includes California tax I believe since that's the ZIP code I put in.

Replacing with $51K and the same parameters, I got $768. About what I predicted for the difference.

These numbers are with zero down and zero extra fees. Not realistic, but those are the raw best-case numbers. Actual monthly numbers would come down with deposits, cap reduction, etc.

So is $664 vs $768 significant enough for you?
