I've been told that Bear Notch Road, which is right off of the Kank, is a fun road, but I haven't been able to check it out yet.

Tripoli Rd off of I-93 also looks good, at least on the map.

Western MA has a bunch of secondary roads that look good.

The problem with New England is the population. There are a bunch of people in a small area. And the roads have low speed limits.
Who mentioned spirited driving? I do that at the track. OP was looking for winding roads and day trips.
