It only affects cars built from Sept. 1 through December 11, 2015. Cars built after that are available to sale. When I was searching for a car, however, newer builds were few and far between while stop sale cars were plentiful. I snagged an unsold unit inbound on a ship while the car I originally tried to buy is still sitting on the lot awaiting the airbag control module to be replaced, as far as I know.

Yep quite disappointing and a true disaster for BMW. Of the fifteen plus cars I located all but one at one particular dealership were not for sale despite a guarantee that each one of these was recall free.
