You are referring to the additional priority 1 colors available for some models. Usually around 4 additional colors. It you want an actual individual paint, it is $5k. Any BMW paint color used in past or present can be had for $5k(just not on the M2).

If you want a M4, M5, etc...in a non-factory BMW color. You just have to pay up.
For instance here is a Grigio Telesto M4 (Lamborghini color)

Interesting part is, once someone pays $7k for a color that wasn't in BMW system. It then becomes $5k for anyone that then wants their BMW painted that color. |
