Hi!
I'm getting a 120i cabrio soon.

I'd like some opinions on the BMW HiFi system.
I don't want an automobile ghettoblaster - but I would like the ability to turn the volume up, like you could with a typical home stereo, without it sounding pathetic.

Since I'm in europe, I can get the car with a vanilla stereo - or order the HiFi option for ~500 euros (the premium HiFi would be ~1800 euros).

I'm looking at the lesser of the HiFi systems. If I can build a significantly better sound myself for ~500 or if people find the BMW HiFi seriously lacking I'd not order it.
