That's a good point - I bet he meant to say that race parts aren't built for 4 or 6 or 10 year warranties, they are purpose built for difficult duty, with a shorter life span before replacement is due. You're right - race parts are built to very high standards - period. But - they aren't necessarily built with longevity in mind. I
think that's what he meant.
