It's not even close. 300 mile range is also not enough to compete. I just don't understand why BMW can't do better than this. Hopefully the BMW i4 will have at least close to comparable range to the Tesla and have the performance to match as well although this is unlikely.

To me the difference between BMW EVs and Tesla comes down to performance and quality. Choose one and you've chosen which manufacturer.

But why is a 0-60 time of 3 seconds a benchmark? Who needs that in real life? I rather have a 0-60 in 5 seconds which is extremely quick for this vehicle and bump the range to 350-360.
It's a benchmark because it was done. I can appreciate you don't need it or want it, but for me, after doing 3 seconds to 60 in my my F90 M5, I don't want to go back to a 4 or 5 seconds to 62 car. I would prefer faster. Just like I don't want to go back to owning a car without navigation, or a car with the basic sound system.

Plus it doesn't go 350-360 miles. It's range is said to be 300. So it's slower and the range is less.
