From memory they're 400 cell cats, but I am sure Franz will correct me if I am wrong. What you suggest is what they have actually done. Each stage brings different components and power. On their website you can see how that works out. The power boxes are a trade secret, which allows more power than all other tuners. Noone can currently produce 660 or more WHP in an F10 M5.
