Just an update..... The mirror caps are held by 3 clips, they just pop out, no need to remove the lens, etc. It took less than a minute to pop out the original black caps and install the new body colored caps.
Apparently we cannot order body colored mirror caps. Only option is to order primed mirror caps from the dealer ($65 each) and then get it painted ($75 each). Will post pics later.
