Yeah I'd find a tall curb or a fence close to the road where you can roll down your windows and drive really slow to see if you can isolate the click sound - if it's a rock or nail you should be able to roll just past it, stop, and find it. You should also be able to isolate which side and which tire(s) for the sound.
