I think part of the dynamic is that if you want an early allocation, and are dealing with a local dealer, then you are dealing with supply and demand constraints. Local dealers will gauge how many buyers are expressing interest vs. their allocations. Other dealers may a bit more supply or softer demand. 6 months from now, you'll definitely be able to negotiate a deeper discount. Don't forget about the $1000 rebate from BMW CCA.
