I would change your "sources" of information. You will be waiting many years to see a v10 come back--many as in never this lifetime. You will NEVER see a new v10 produced again ever in any car, let alone the m5.
The current 5L gets 15mpg on the HIGHWAY if that and 7-8 around city. Do you think bmw would use that engine, make it biger and thurstier to even have the guts to come out with a car doing 10mpg highway/6 city?
I mean just makes no sense with the way they are going green. You should use common sense before "sources" Its a good rule of thumb for life. Common sense goes a long way
