Usually, if you have a truck I recommend Michelin LTX All Season tires. They are $250 a tire, so a bit steep, but it is well worth it, the truck handles in every season and I have taken it through 3 ft of snow with no traction issues.

My truck is an '00 Merc Mountaineer V8 H/O and it has no assists except for ABS.
