Regarding plugs, unless you're running el cheapo gas, and/or using fuel additives, they are fine.
I changed mine at 7500 while doing my own oil change just for the fun of it. I've been on a tune since day one and they looked fine. You should be able to go at least 20k before even thinking about plugs.
