Hi all! Great forum! I picked up a lot of useful information here and have finaly decided to register... not for a great reason though :S
I was involved in a rear-end collision ("involved" may be too harsh, as I was stationary at the time) with a VW Transporter.
My rear bumper got smashed and nothing else from what I could see.
I have 2 questions:
1) Does anyone has an idea how much is to replace the bumper @ BMW dealer (inc railings; my car is an ES model, so no parking sensors)?
2) I've heard that it could take a while to get the other party's insurance to pay up, so I'm, considering to pay for the repair myself and than claim back the cash. Is this wise?
