Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I have the same issue. I don't track my cars or anything, just normal road use, but the rear brake pads wear significantly faster than the fronts. this has been the case with:

My current E92 335i - 6800miles so far, front brakes: 38000mls left rear brakes: 25000mls left

My previous E90 325i - for the first 15000mls or so the same thing happened - took it to the dealer and they rebuilt the brake system (and charged me!) - when I sold it at 35000mls the front and rear pad use had seemed to even out

Is this just the traction control working overtime? Surely the fronts should always take more of a beating than the rears as they do most of the work?
