So I’m very knowledgeable about the carb laws in SoCal. If you touch anything that has to do with emissions, it’s illegal. But the catch it’s all from a visual inspection from the officer. So if he cannot see it, like a tune, they won’t know. But I can assure you all downpipes are illegal, all intakes are illegal (unless it’s carb legal). Here’s another nugget, did you know it is illegal to drive your car in sport mode on the street. Please don’t ask how I know but I do trust. Now I’m speaking from about being visually inspected for a state ref. Most cops do not know what to look for but some do.
