LOL, You should be fine for just testing it. If you don't have the heating element then the heated seat button when pressed (assuming nothing was wired in) would never get the signal from the controller to (whichever) module that would actually be supplying the wattage for the heating element. For the side bolsters I did ghetto rig it which worked but I've undone those wires for the moment while I wait for things to warm up so I can finish the job. Irony alert.

Anyway to get the side bolsters going just for giggles you can use an add-a-circuit fuse on the fuse box (20a or 30a min I think)and splice a wire to get power to the bolster. Then tap into a ground wire somewhere and you are good.
