It seems a smidge too thin regarding shear strength / protection for me. And was not the original spec until emissions goals were tweaked. I am sticking with Castrol Edge 0w40, for at least my next oil change. See the various, and most recent mega oil thread in the tech sections. New formula just came out, old stock might be preferred. something something etc etc. there is a lot to read.
