Bigger does not equal better.
If all you want is a car that looks cool, only for car shows, then yes, 24" wheels might be for you. But if you want to actually use the car on public roads daily, then I would not go larger than OEM. In this case, OEM is 23" on the XB7. But Alpina assumes if you can afford their mods, then you can afford multiple cars and repair costs.
I would say 24's not only look wrong, but tire choice would be a nightmare. And in the coming years, tires (choices) may become more limited with all of the supply chain issues we are having. And I believe the lower the profile, the higher the wear = $$$. If the replacement tires cost more and are harder to get, you may be riding on worn tires most of the time.
